Our chocolate labrador puppies are priced at $700 without papers or $800 with the AKC registration application, plus the delivery fee. You will still need to pay the AKC directly for the registration fee when you decide on a name and apply to register your puppy. If you are not intending to breed or show your puppy, registration is really not necessary unless you just want the certificate to hang on the wall.
Delivery
We deliver our puppies in person, driving them to your door. It gives us peace of mind knowing exactly where and with whom our puppies will live, not just shipping them off to some unknown destination in the baggage hold of an airplane (which can be traumatic for a baby). This also gives us a chance to meet you, give advice on potty training, veterinary care, puppy care, crating, training in general etc. and answer any questions you may have. A winning situation for your puppy, for you, and for us.
The delivery fee is roughly no more (sometimes considerably less) than shipping via the airlines when you factor in cost of an approved crate, a veterinary exam, interstate health certificate, and transportation to the airport, not to mention on your end you have to drive to a major airport, park, collect your puppy and return. Delivery fees vary based on the distance we travel. On the low end delivery can be as little as $150, on the high end as much as $550. We deliver to the 48 lower states and all provinces of Canada (for Canadians, all prices and payments are US dollars). If you are considering a puppy, call or email us first with your location and we can tell you how it would be to deliver your puppy.
Sometime circumstances make personal delivery impossible. In that case we are willing to ship by air at the request and expense of the client, all delivery options are open for discussion.
Deposit
The deposit to hold a puppy is $200. It is not refundable, so please be absolutely sure you want a puppy before you deposit. If we don't have enough puppies in any given litter we will hold over your deposit to the next available litter. We hope to have 2-3 litters per year. If you change your mind and don't want a puppy, your deposit is forfeited. We will on occasion hold a deposit over if you have a valid verifiable family emergency (death, illness, divorce/separation or pink slip) and cannot take delivery of your puppy right away. You must Puppies@trinitychocolatelabkennels.com QUICKLY if that becomes the case to give us as much time as possible to place your puppy with another family.
If you wish to place a deposit on a puppy, call or email us first to check availability. We will take only 8 deposits (4 female deposits and 4 male deposits) before puppies are born and we know how many we have. (8 is about the average number of puppies in a litter for our line). When you have called us and wish to deposit please use the short form for gender and phone number, and the deposit button at the bottom of this page to make your deposit. We use the PayPal system for all of our deposits, it time/date stamps all deposits received, so there is no question on the order of deposits received. If you don't have a PayPal account, it's OK, just click on the "Don't have a PayPal account" link on the following page and you will be able to use your credit card or checking account to make your deposit. PayPal will ask you at the end of the procedure if you want an account. It's probably a good idea to get one, PayPal is the safest, most trusted and most used internet funds transfer system on line today.
Payment of Balance Due
The balance of your payment will be due when we hand you your puppy. We really prefer cash, but will accept a personal check during normal banking hours. If you wish to use a credit card it must be through the PayPal system and can be done on your computer when we deliver your puppy.
